The Bağcılar demonstrator

A decision-support demonstrator for a dense urban district: a building inventory, a resident register, a citizen-services catalogue, illustrative multi-hazard scenarios and analytics — on seeded demonstration data.

Open the demonstrator

What it is

It shows what a municipal common operating picture looks like when the inventory, the services and the scenarios are in one place: what is where, who is served by it, and what an illustrative hazard would touch.

It is not a municipal system of record and it does not run on real Bağcılar data. Every figure in it is seeded or generated for demonstration, and a permanent banner on every page says so.

Its six pages

  • Overview — district totals, a map, and the demonstration-data banner
  • Population — a resident register, masked by default
  • Services — a citizen-services catalogue with delivery records
  • Infrastructure — a building inventory with risk banding
  • Scenarios — illustrative flood, fire and wind-storm models
  • Reports & Analytics — engagement, demographics and demonstration impact figures

Languages

The demonstrator interface is available in Turkish, English and Estonian, switchable from inside the application. This public site is English only for this delivery.

Known limitations

Published here rather than discovered later.

  • The data is seeded demonstration data, not a municipal record.
  • The damage models are illustrative and uncalibrated. Their outputs are labelled SIMULATED and are not forecasts.
  • The Scenarios page dispatches nothing. No team is tasked, no message leaves the application.
  • The analytics “impact” figures are demonstration metrics, not measured outcomes.
  • The unmasked resident record is behind a sign-in and is restricted to the operator and administrator roles.
